June 19, 2026 — Romans 12:18

If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.

Romans 12:18

Takeaway

Peace is not always within your control—some people will reject reconciliation, some conflicts run too deep, some relationships are unsafe to restore. But what IS in your control is your posture: your willingness to forgive, your refusal to escalate, your commitment to speak truth without cruelty, your decision to lay down the need to win. Paul is not promising you a peaceful life. He is calling you to do the hard, humble work of peacemaking on your end, and then release the rest to God.

Application

Today, identify one relationship where tension lives between you and someone else. Not the big war—the everyday friction. Do one small thing within your power to de-escalate: send a text asking how they are, apologize for your part, choose not to respond to their jab, or simply pray for them by name. Then stop. You cannot force their response. That's not your job.
