June 12, 2026 — Peter 3:13

Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good?1

Peter 3:13

Takeaway

Peter is not promising that good people never suffer — the very next verse shows believers facing persecution for righteousness' sake. He's asking: who can ultimately harm you when you're living for God's kingdom instead of your own comfort? Evil may touch your body, your reputation, your circumstances. But it cannot touch your soul if you belong to Christ. The person eager to do good has already surrendered the thing the world uses as leverage: the need to be safe, liked, or comfortable.

Application

Today, identify one place where fear of harm — rejection, loss, embarrassment, retaliation — is keeping you from doing what you know is right. Name it. Then do the right thing anyway, trusting that your life is hidden with Christ in God, not dependent on what others can take from you.
