August 1, 2026 — Isaiah 46:4

Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.

Isaiah 46:4

Takeaway

God's faithfulness does not have an expiration date. When your body weakens, when your mind slows, when everyone else moves on to younger concerns, the God who made you is still there—not as a memory, but as a present strength. He promises to carry you, not because you've earned it, but because he is who he is. This is not sentiment. This is the God of Abraham at 100 years old, the God of Moses at 80 leading a nation, the God of Anna at 84 worshiping in the temple. Your gray hairs do not disqualify you from his care.

Application

If you are old, or walking with someone who is, speak this verse aloud today. Let the repeated 'I am he' sink in—not once, but twice, hammered into your heart. If you fear aging or abandonment, sit with the word 'carry.' You do not have to walk this alone.
